If a dating platform or someone on one has taken money from you, tell us. Reports help us spot patterns across platforms, and patterns are what turn one person’s bad week into a warning that protects hundreds of people.
First: do these things before you contact us
We are a review site, not an authority. We cannot recover your money or investigate a crime. These steps can, and they are more urgent than writing to us.
- Stop all payments. Cancel the subscription and, if you can, block further charges from the merchant.
- Contact your bank or card issuer today. Ask about a chargeback. Time limits apply and they are shorter than most people expect.
- Save everything. Screenshots of conversations, receipts, transaction descriptors, the profile, the URL, the dates. Do this before deleting your account — access usually disappears with it.
- Report it officially. In the US, the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov and the FBI’s IC3 at ic3.gov. In the UK, Action Fraud. In Canada, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. In Australia, Scamwatch. Elsewhere, your national consumer protection or cybercrime agency.
- Send no more money. This matters most if someone has offered to recover what you lost for a fee. Recovery-fee fraud specifically targets people who have already been defrauded.
Then tell us
Send us the platform name and URL, roughly when it happened, what you paid and how, what went wrong, and anything you can share that does not identify a private individual.

What we do with your report
- We add it to what we hold on that platform and look for repetition across reports.
- Where a pattern is clear and documented, we publish it — as an article, or as an update to the platform’s page.
- If the platform is not yet listed, we add it so others can find it.
- We never publish your name, email or any detail that could identify you without asking you first.
We cannot promise an investigation into every report, and we will not claim otherwise. What we can promise is that it gets read.

Romance and dating fraud is engineered by people who do it professionally, to a script, at scale. Being taken in by it is not a character flaw and it says nothing about your intelligence. The people who write to us are doctors, engineers, teachers and retirees. You are not the first and you will not be the last.
